I like it because it's a simple, but unique story of a guy who built a business, but very purposely kept it small. He has a lot of intentionality around his decisions. Regardless of whether you agree with him or not, it's a unique perspective.
I think my current work maybe too scaled up or too abstracted at least, I work in data, so literally numbers and pixels. I have also been considering working on smaller scale but greater quality work too, interesting we follow such similar paths.
Also looks like we've have similar literary journeys, I've read all but the first on the list, which I'll be reading soon, thanks for the recommendation
Is company of one good Rick? I have bought it, and I can feel its gaze intensely... Will read it during the weekends...

Loved this Rick. I unwittingly experienced what you described about numbing out with scale.
Yeah, think this is pretty common these days TBH...
I liked this one Rick, it really reflected a lot of my own experience scaling down.
Thanks, as always, for the feedback Tom!

Appreciate the feedback Jack. Maybe there are ways to balance the high-scale in your work with something low-scale outside of work?
Yeah that makes sense, could volunteer or do some side work
Thanks for the suggestion
