Highly relate and recommend taking sabbaticals too! It was after returning from the 2-months long sabbatical I realized how misaligned I was with the worklife. Made the decision to completely quit work so much easier later on.
This series was enjoyable to read Rick! Can't wait for upcoming series
I just found the Don't Work series today and binge-read it. I love the content because it truly resonates with my current journey! It's comforting to see others turn the ambiguous feelings inside my mind into words that I can finally understand.
Oh god, it's hard to choose a favorite since I relate to this series so much. But if I have to, it would be a tie between The Value of Disappearing and 5 Super Simple Steps to Changing Your Career. I especially love the part about disappearing from the old structure we built our lives on, and the idea that we 'see' change as a positive impact, but it's actually daunting when we're going through it.
It hadn’t really occurred to me until now that this series would end, Rick! I certainly hope you’ll continue to share your writing. I do like your mountain metaphor at the end.

Yes... more coming soon!
Have you ever read The 2nd Mountain, by David Brooks? I think you might like it.
Amazingly enough, I haven’t yet. Thanks for the reminder. I’ve got some travel coming up: good time for a book.
